Vivienne at 10 Months

  • Pulling herself up and walking while using furniture for support

  • Pushes her cart, everywhere!

  • Says, "duck", "quack, quack, quack" and "hi" - "dog" is kind of in there too!
  • Points, waves, blows kisses, gives kisses, and dances.

  • Loves to push the button to catch the elevator.
  • Loves to "shake, shake, shake"!
  • She still loves making music.

  • Nods her head "yes"
  • Took her first steps on May 17!
  • Fearless, will climb over everything, including her piano.

  • Her sleep schedule...what sleep schedule? My consistent sleeper is gone!

  • Eight teeth, with one or two more making their way through in the back.

  • Loves to eat fruit and veggies, and she still loves her smoothies.

  • Social, social, social! She will wave and say, "Hi!" to everyone while we are grocery shopping or taking a stroll on the sidewalk.

  • Becoming more and more confident to stand on her own.

  • And she makes great facial expressions...

Austin Color Run

We had some family fun a couple of weeks ago, we ran in the Austin Color Run! This was my (and V's) first 5k and I am glad to say we ran the entire course. V was quite tired by the end, but she made it!

And kudos to J for pushing the stroller the entire time...that is a workout in itself!

Family Photos

About a month ago I was itching to have some family photos done. Vivi was at a great age and really starting to show her playful personality. My brother is usually our photographer, but since he is in Chicago and we are in Austin, I had to find an alternative. Thankfully, I happened to check out Living Social (which I do maybe twice a year) and saw a deal for Amber Vickery Photography. I quickly explored her website and found that she does great work, so I snatched up the deal!

The day of, the weather was perfectly overcast and SoCo was peaceful before the weekend crowds would arrive in a couple of hours. Amber was lovely! She was great with V, already had great locations picked out to go to, and was so easy going. I love that she was able to capture so much of V's personality and facial expressions...Vivi has already stopped sticking that cute little tongue out.

Thank you, Amber, for capturing such great moments for our family!
