Well hello there!

Yikes! How has it been a month since my last post? Many things have been happening, so let me catch you up.

  • We had family photos done! (I will do a separate post on that later.)

  • Katie came to visit! It was so nice to have my dear friend here and to show her around the city (and find a great new Thai restaurant, Sway). Vivi had a grand time with her as well.

  • V has started to play the piano.

  • J and I were able to see Willie Nelson at Austin City Limits!

  • V and I flew up to Michigan for a few weeks.

She was reunited with her plane...

and her "buddy".

Little Miss also decided it was time for her to start walking (with assistance).

My friend, Travis, became friends with Anderson Cooper. Seriously. And if you know me well, you know I was giddy just getting update texts from Travis. Ah, one day I will meet you Anderson!

V and Uncle Dustin had fun playing catch while in Michigan. (Yes, they did coordinate their shirts on purpose.)

Vivi is now 9 months old!

Her cousins came to Grandma and Grandpa's while we were there. So thankful and happy that Andrea drove in!

And before we headed back to Texas we were able to go to the cutest baby shower for Mr. Sam (camping theme!).

And three weeks went by like that! Back on the plane and back in Austin!

(And reunited with Daddy!)

Happy Easter

Greek Easter is still another 5 weeks away, but this little bunny has arrived early to wish you a Happy Easter!

Food, food and more food!

The food options in Austin are amazing. I have been bad in posting where all we have been so I decided to post photos of some of our recently scrumptious meals...even one I made!

Don't drool too much...

Vivi's Videos

V has been growing, learning and being a hilarious stinker lately, and I try to catch it on video every chance I get. She seriously cracks us up. The videos below highlight some of Vivi's big personality.

This is V's crawl. Anyone else think she looks like a pirate with and peg leg?

You might be thinking I am cruel, but she cried when I took the lemon away from her.

She has recently started clapping whenever we say, "Yay!" As we were playing with a toy that sings, "If you're happy and you know it..." V started clapping when it said, "...clap your hands!" I think you can tell by my reaction that this was a first! I will use the word "clap" to try and get her to do so, but she NEVER does...It must be the word "yay" or something that she is excited about in order to get her to clap. I guess we can now add this song to the list of items that gets her to put those hands together!

I just felt plain bad for her. She wanted that ball out and she couldn't get it!

Just another lunch time conversation with the wee one.

As much as I dread the deep tub here in the condo, I think it is time to make the switch. Say a prayer for my back!

Little Stacy Park

I have been waiting to get V on her first swing, and thanks to Andrea, I found a park close by...just off of South Congress. After a short drive V and I arrived at Little Stacy Park and headed for the vacant swings. I think it is safe to say she enjoyed the ride! She also LOVED going after the little leaves and pebbles. By the time we left she had plenty of dirt, smiles and new discoveries for the memory book. (Next time we go back, maybe the wading pool will be open, it starts at 9in deep!)

"Bye-bye!"

Zilker Kite Festival

A couple of weeks ago we loaded up and took our bikes to Zilker Park for the annual Zilker Kite Festival. We were able to secure a spot before it became too busy and enjoy some kite time. I'm not sure if J or Vivi had more fun...
